Incorporated in 1999, Carolina Pondscapes, Inc. specializes in all types of water features. We are known most for how our water features appear natural, mirroring Mother Nature.

We have been using the natural, weathered boulder technique since inception and we have led by example in the Triad since 1999. Many around are now using the same techniques. We use our own brochures of our work, not the manufacturers. We are a Custom Water Feature contractor. We take our time, we create a picture with stone and we don’t install them in a day.
When deciding on a contractor, look at their work. Look at the placement of stone…does it look as though it was thrown on top of the other stone or, does it look like a puzzle, do the edges blend together and appear as though the water carved it out?
We have been in business from day one – unlike many others who have been bought and sold, or out of business and returned.
Be careful when you see ALL contractors stating they are the PREMIER builder in their areas… Are They?
Many contractors will pay a fee to attend a pond build in some other state and then use that in their advertisement stating they built that feature.
Our FoundersAlan's remarkable background includes 8 years of service in the US Army, where he achieved notable accomplishments such as earning the Drill Sergeant Badge and becoming qualified as a Paratrooper and Air Assault soldier. He then transitioned to a successful career at Opex Corporation, specializing in high-speed mailroom automation and management. Alan's natural artistic abilities led him to build ponds for family and friends, where he honed his skills in creating natural-looking water features using carefully placed stones.
Through his dedication and recognition from his peers, Alan was elected to serve on the National Board of NAPP (National Association of Pond Professionals) and was selected to be on the Advisory Board for the Southern Ideal Home Show. At Carolina Pondscapes, we embody our motto of "Bring Your Landscape To Life!" Our priority is our customers and clients, and we strive to provide top-quality service while fulfilling their visions and expectations. Awards and recognition are not our primary focus; instead, we prioritize delivering exceptional results, just as we did in the military.

Sherry's impressive background includes 13 years of service in the US Army as a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, where she set the standard for quality work and discipline. After transitioning to the Dental Supply field as an Office Manager, she gained valuable experience in managing operations.
Later, she ventured into the Water Garden Business, where she honed her skills in constructing and maintaining water features and managing a retail location.
With over 13 years of experience in the water garden industry, Sherry's expertise and passion have driven the establishment of the company in the Piedmont/Triad area. Recognizing a gap in the market for specialized water feature services, she and Alan made the decision to dedicate themselves full-time to constructing water features. Although Sherry temporarily explored other ventures like owning a Weight Loss Medi Spa, she has now returned to support Alan on a part-time basis, leveraging her extensive knowledge to elevate the company to new heights.
